Nobody explains the first year in order. This does.

Four stages, from the paperwork you do at home to the week you finally stop feeling new. Each one links to the sourced answers that stage needs.

Did you know

The official catalogue this guide reads from lists 4,877 courses across 58 subject codes and 59 departments. All of them are searchable here by code or by title.

Language of instruction

96% of catalogued courses are taught in English, and the catalogue states the language for each one individually. If a course is taught in Turkish, its own entry says so.

Answers new students reach for first.

A first year surprise

341 courses in the catalogue carry zero METU credit and still sit inside published curricula. Non credit does not mean optional, and it is the kind of thing worth checking before you plan a term.

Ask it the way you would ask a friend.

If the guide has no verified answer, it says so and writes the question down instead of inventing one.
